8/17/05 - I have been busy getting the remainder of the tubing finished up as well as mounting and plumbing the remote water pump for the engine. Its getting close!
6/11/05 - The motor is now in the car. I mounted up the blower, but to do so required me to cut out the roll bar tubing in that corner. The blower is now in place and I started working on the tubing. There should be significant progress in the near future.
6/6/05 - I picked up the pieces to the motor and began assembly. As you can see the the pistons ended up even with the deck due to needing to shave the block to get the desired finish for the Cometic head gaskets. Final compression ratio ended up at 8.4:1.
5/1/05 - This weekend I was able to get the new axles installed and the car back on the ground. As you can see things are progressing. The plan has changed again, as I have decided to try doing a carb blowthrough setup instead of EFI. Its something that I have wanted to try out and it will be cheaper and get the car running sooner.
4/26/05 - The slicks are mounted and when the axles arrive the car can be put back on the ground. I also have started getting all of the contingency stickers applied to the back glass.
4/23/05 - The intercooler water plumbing is done. The Aerospace water pump is mounted. I ran a couple of bags of ice through the system and the intercooler got down right cold. Everything seems to be working properly. As soon as the engine comes in, I can finish up the intercooler tubing.
4/16/05 - The water cell is finished. It looks great. Another bad ass part from Gary Putnam. Here are a few pics of the cell. I had him incorporate the trans cooler into the cell. This cleaned up the front of the car and should keep the trans much cooler.
4/2/05 - The intercooler is now mounted and I have started on the tubing. As you can see I am running the tubing through the passenger seat and diving it down and out of the way should I have to make an emergency exit from the passenger side. As soon as the water cell shows up from Putnam Fabrication I will get the intercooler water pump mounted and the water lines ran.
3/26/05 - I got the fuel cell from Gary @ Putman Fabrication. This piece is awesome. The cell is installed and the Weldon fuel pump is mounted and plumbed
3/17/05 - Its been awhile since I had an update. Not a whole lot of work has gotten done, but there are a few new parts that have shown up. Hopefully they will be getting installed soon.
2/24/05 - The new UPR Front Suspension kit came in today. It looks top quality and installed extremely easy.
2/17/05 - The trunk floor is now finished. I am getting the water and fuel cells welded up and then it is time to mount everything up and start plumbing the water lines for the intercooler and the fuel lines.
2/5/05 - I have been busy getting the trunk floor cut out and the new floor welded in out of 1"x1" box steel tube. This new floor will support the fuel and water cells as well as the battery and battery cutoff switch.
1/4/05 - After getting the car running with the carb/nitrous combo, I have come across a great deal on a new Procharger F2 supercharger with a 2400hp Air/Water intercooler. So, without even a pass the car is getting torn back down for installation of the supercharger and intercooler. I have also decided to sell the 351W motor and put in a new 382 ci stroker motor that is at the machine shop!
