Mitsubishi has announced its preliminary prices for the upcoming Lancer Evolution X, which goes on sale early next year. The five-speed manual equipped Evo X GSR will cost around $34,000, with the twin-clutch sequential gearbox equipped Evo X MR coming in at around $39,000, though Mitsubishi hopes to cut those figures by about $1,000 including destination fees by the time pricing is finalized. The outgoing Evo IX started at $28,679 for a stripped-down RS, $31,399 for the mainstream IX and $35,189 for the top-of-the-line MR, excluding destination charges.
